Frank Crimmins has spent a lifetime serving the people of Massachusetts as an attorney, judge, municipal executive, and community leader.

Frank served for nearly two decades as a Massachusetts District Court Judge, including service as First Justice of the Stoughton District Court and as a member of the District Court Appellate Division. He has also spent decades practicing law and serving Massachusetts communities in local government.

Frank was appointed to the Massachusetts District Court in 1992 and served for 17½ years.
During his judicial career, he served as First Justice of the Stoughton District Court and participated in the District Court Appellate Division. His work placed him directly inside the court system the Governor’s Council is responsible for helping shape through the judicial confirmation process.
That experience matters.
When a judicial nominee appears before the Governor’s Council, Frank knows the questions that should be asked.
He knows what qualifications matter.
And he knows the difference between a strong résumé and the temperament, judgment, integrity, and character required to serve on the bench.
The Governor’s Council is not a place for on-the-job training.
Frank was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts in 1981 and has spent more than four decades working in and around the legal system.
His experience as both an attorney and a judge gives him a perspective few candidates for Governor’s Council can match.
He has seen the law from both sides of the bench.
Throughout his career, Frank has remained committed to a simple principle:
The law should be applied fairly, consistently, and without political favoritism.
The men and women confirmed to Massachusetts courts make decisions every day that affect victims, defendants, families, law enforcement officers, and communities.
Those decisions can determine whether dangerous offenders are held accountable, whether victims receive justice, whether constitutional rights are protected, and whether the public continues to have confidence in our courts.
That is why Frank believes judicial nominees deserve serious scrutiny.

He understands that government ultimately comes down to people: families trying to build a good life, communities trying to stay safe, taxpayers expecting accountability, and citizens expecting the law to be applied fairly.
Those are the people Frank wants to represent on the Governor’s Council.
